Guidelines for poster presentations
A poster communication at the Pan-CLIVAR Symposium is a great opportunity to support in-depth presentation of your work, results, and achievements, and is very efficient for conveying messages to a large audience with time for questions and productive exchange with other participants.
The Pan-CLIVAR format places high importance on poster presentations. The program includes:
- On-site poster session
- Lightning talk (2 min).
- Uploading of posters to an online repository accessible to the audience prior to and after the event.
Instructions for lightning talks
Lightning talks serve as a great opportunity to captivate the audience on the presenter’s discovery/key results. The lightning talks are allocated at the end of the indicated sessions in the program. Two minutes are allocated for each talk. Aim for 1 or 2 slides briefly outlining the main scientific questions, key methodology, and take home message.
